Would I have any problem taking a juvenile in today on a friends senior citizen ST?

Ticket articles always mention swapping like for like so adult for adult, OAP for OAP etc so I would say no.

You'll be fine, nobody checks. One match earlier this season I accidentally went in on my daughter's kiddie ticket and she scanned my adult one (which suggests that I could quite easily pay £5 for my season ticket next year if I was nefariously minded!)

This isn't true. The turnstile operator you used didn't, but many do. Some are specifically looking for it.

I've been refused admission (My dad had my season ticket, I had his, he was already in the ground).

I would arrive a bit earlier and pop into the box office today to explain or even give them a quick call now so they're expecting you

You should be fine as long as you don’t put it on a forum or owt

Club have been stepping up on this. More likely to be checked now as we get secret shoppers trying to get in on the wrong ticket. Trouble if we let them in.

As it's a higher category than an juvenile, I cant see a problem. Not sure any of the operators follow the rules on passes passed on to another. Have known someone challenged the other way round and not admitted. Eg Juvenile used by an adult.
If you are worried go to the club box office and they'll give you a match ticket to get in. But will also void the code for this game I believe.

I lent my Senior Citizen card to a young friend last season (without realising he might have a problem), and he was turned away.

In my experiences, they definitely check at the turnstile

Oh right, that's useful to know. Will be more careful in future as we have all our tickets in one app, a mixture of adults, kids and OAPs and we don't always check who's going in on whose ticket. Did you manage to sort it out or you were left standing outside like a lemon for the whole match?

I went home. It was a genuine mix-up, my dad and I have the same name and I just didn't notice. I didn't have enough cash to pay at the turnstiles and the queue was out the door of the ticket office and they'd just kicked off.

You had me worried so I just rang the club. They said they will sort it if I pop in the box office. :)

That's a massive ******. Did you try to explain to the turnstile operator what had happened?

Yes, but to be fair to her, I had no corroborating evidence. I was just a bloke clearly well under 65 trying to gain entry with a senior citizen's season ticket.

Don't think I was so pragmatic about the situation at the time like.

In the past a turnstile operator I know has told me that they get a reward for everyone they report that should be entering with a full price ticket and try to enter on a concessionary one. Whether they can be bothered with the hassle is another matter.

Did your dad not think anything was amiss when you failed to follow him into the ground?!

I wasn't with him. I should have been sitting with him and I'd seen him earlier in the day but I'd gone into town to meet friends, he'd gone straight to the game.

@DSLRed I assume everything went brilliantly when you went to the box office to sort it :)
