I want to be in the championship, so I've voted that way. Yes it's great to win more games, but I just feel we're below where we should be down here
I do like the more regular winning in this division but it’s got to be championship every time. I want us to be in the highest league possible playing against teams that bring numbers like Derby did today.
I'd take years of mid table in the champ. I don't want to see us in relegation scraps every time we're there though.
Championship for me, despite us being Underdogs 20 games out of 23 roughly, but obviously wouldn’t want to be in relegation scraps all the time. Just slowly build, much like Millwall have been doing & you never know! The atmosphere takes care of itself.
A few years ago I would have been tempted to say League One, with cool away trips, competitive games and the chance to challenge for promotion. But recently I've noted how bang average a lot of the teams in the Championship are, treading water year on year. Luton, Millwall, Coventry, Sunderland and even ourselves (twice) have shown it is very possible to be really successful in that league with the right team spirit and enough quality. It doesn't need a miracle or millions of pounds. I want to see us have another go at what we really should have been able to do after Val's season... giving it a right go in the Championship with a motivated effective side. Plus, although having 4500 away fans every other week gets tiresome if they're usually loudly celebrating a comfortable away win... how much more does town and Oakwell come alive with a sizeable away following?
Good question. Today was a proper contest before a good crowd. If it was like today in League 1 every other week i could live with that. It isn't like that for the most part though is it?
To have success and play well in the championship we’ve first got to be in the championship. I’d never choose league one football over that. For every game like today you will get three boring wins against absolute dross and a massive home defeat against limited opposition who just shithouse you off the park. (eg Wycombe this season).
No brainer for me but the question is loaded in favour of the second. You'd have to be mad to choose the 1st. Pain. purgatory and misery. Edit Jeez, the mad fekkers rule. Of course I'd choose championship over league 1. But on those terms and conditions, no fekkin chance. Honest.
Got to be championship. In reality there’s no winning games regularly in league one option. If we have a good team & manager we have to take advantage otherwise they’re going. It’s like if we don’t go up this summer Anderson goes for starters, Duff likely goes & there’s interest in all of Kitching, Kane, Connell, Williams & Collins with the loanees returning to their parent clubs it’s start again time.
