To try and focus back on Isted, I thought he did well yesterday. He certainly claimed some crosses which a lot of keepers we’ve had before would probably have flapped at.

His kicking is a little bit “up and under” on occasion as in it goes high and not very far but everything else in his game seems very good. Putting himself in the shop window for either a contract at Luton or move somewhere. Hopefully we’re already talking to him.

After 4 games you've decided he's better than Collins?

It's in context mate. I'll let you know at end of the season if he keeps his place. Never said is. But the signs look good. His handling of crosses for example and not unnoticeable quality saves are much better would you not agree.

Isted has played well so far, hope he keeps it up.

Collins has played just as well in dozens of games for Barnsley.

Only two Barnsley players could legitimately argue they played consistently well last season and were in no way culpable for our relegation: Collins and Morris.

He’s played 26 games, conceded less than a goal a game and kept 9 clean sheets, having played throughout the period when we were very inconsistent at the start of the season too.

    Yeah, awful.

Will be interesting to see if Brad come straight back in, or if isted keeps the shirt. Arguments either way, and exactly the type of problem duff wants

Are you still here digging that hole.

Jay summed it up better than me, in his post.

It's actually getting laughable now, how wrong you are.

It certainly will be a tough decision, if Isted can keep this up. As you’ve said, a nice problem to have.

Credit to the club too for bringing Isted in. Of course hindsight is a wonderful thing but I wonder what Jack Walton is thinking right now.

Same height as me, I think lol.
Isted hasn't put a foot wrong so far, and that has worked out well for us. But think how many loan players have been disappointing for us, when they've signed a contract.

Ok let me put it another way, and somebody else also suggested this. What if Isted makes a few costly mistakes in the next few games, what will our fans reactions be then!.
I just think its unfair to be having a go at Collins all of a sudden, for what seems to be no apparent reason.

Thomas's contract runs out in june as do Isteds and Larkehe. Tedic and Martin's june 2024.

Tbh mate, the way you've spoken to people in this thread and the way you've judged a very competent and very dedicated Barnsley player... It's just a bit weird.

Not if you understand the content jay and history of previous threads. I've always said its about the quality of a player and not whether I like him or not and never once questioned his dedication. I agree competent as well.
I've been lambasted for preferring Walton over Collins. Unjustifiable, as I say. it's just an opinion. I respect others opinions, So i dont need anyone telling me because others among em prefer the other way round I'm wrong. That's just stupid.
I've always put my reasons why up front. yet folk still persisting in telling me I'm wrong. I think you know me well enough to know I don't need to quote anyone elses thoughts on a player to justify myself. The amount of times folk dont read the responses and jump in with a completely made up different view of what actually is said, is an issue that some need to look at. I've even had folk telling me they know my mind better than I do. Eg when i quoted who i think have been championship quality as examples having the stupidity to say no you've picked the best players. Yet everyone of them barring Watson who actually played a year in the premier played in the championship.
It got to the stage where it's not about opinions anymore (always has been on my part) to saying you are wrong cos someone else says so. I respect your opinion on Collins and I never said he was the main reason we went down. I said he was one. I agree on your opinion of Morris that season and to a degree Collins as not a main culprit, the team on the whole were dire and I was using that as a pointer to playing in the championship does not make you championship quality. Which in my view was quite clear.
But as I say it's about His qualities and whether I think he is Championship quality (irrespective of playing in it which some think is the only reason needed) and imho I dont think he is. I hope you Jay at least. respect that.
I do get overheated at times because its frustrating when people don't read a post properly and yes have to repeat myself till I'm blue in the face to get it into their skulls. (As ST said and quite clearly understood my comment/s.) Which sadly is a failing of not mine, but theirs.
Take Fonzies last response. If he really thought about it. he falls into the same category by Quoting you. Your opinion is right, I am wrong. And adding laughable into the mix. I think he needs to look at that one again that's why I said it was pathetic.
Am I wrong or do I just have a different opinion. ?

Clearly should have been a red for that. Sometimes you have to wonder what the referee sees, was his view completely obscured? If he saw it as clearly as this video, how on earth did he not send him off?
