    Disappointed with him so far.

    He seems to have a lack of urgency, strolling at times when he should be driving the team forward.

    He'll have to up his game to displace other midfielders.

    There were a few chomping at the bit to criticise Adam Phillips, too, after his first few games. Ah, well. It's 2023 and the word patience has slipped from use with some.

    The stand out problem today was missing Luca Connell. He defends, he wins the ball in midfield and he is dynamite up front as well. An all round performer was missing and Jon Russell doesn't fit that bill at all. He's obviously got talent and has shown us a few nice touches so far but I never thought today he could do Connell's job. Frankly NOBODY at the club can so let's hope he is over his bout of illness by Tuesday night. We need him back!
