We're the ones on the east stand side used then for home fans? As in used properly? People walking through them and then going clicky clicky and spinning round as they went in? Only I'm ambit confused if they were because the club have told us for years that they don't work haven't they?

Yes that is how we entered the ground. The clicky, clicky spinny was very hard to move though. Can tell they've not been used for many a year.

The turnstyle I went in worked ok. (Did they say they didnt work or was it more of a setting up issue to run em ? I can't remember the exact reasons) The QR readers helped smooth transition. There was no queue when I went in around 7:30 . It'll be interesting to see if the club now look at using it, Split 50/50 on a permanent basis in future. But they would have to get the west stand north up and running again in my view, to cope with clubs like Wendy and Derby or lose a lot of revenue.
Only negative for me is on a personal level, I much prefer the half way line view. A thing I dont get an option of, at away games. :(

I think they did work - just needed freeing up and cleaning. Along with additional scanners. But they will have used East Stand scanners to do it last night. Helped with Derby having the full stand last week - as the kiosks etc will have been ready cleaned.

The stand won’t be split on a regular basis imo unless demand is there. It’s too expensive in terms of stewarding/policing, and is an additional risk element for the game.

However, it is easier, cheaper and quicker than opening up the West Stand fully. But recent history shows we don’t need to, to meet demand.

They were renovated recently, so I took that to mean repaired

Would be great if/when we get to the play offs restrict away fans and sell them seats to home fans I would imagine there would be the demand and great to have fans on all four sides.
