I was in the North. The atmosphere was good. Not like the ponty but kind of better than the east if that makes sense. The closeness to the pompey fans helped. Who to their credit btw. never stopped chanting.

Very up and down. Portsmouth were vocal before we scored, we were vocal after we scored. Then it went flat in the second half for a while. Most of the noise made by the away fans though.

The noise from the East Stand was as loud as normal.

Unless midweek games are big cup or local derby games, always a bit flat ,everyone knackered from work etc ,no time to sup beforehand

Must stop singing the “Leeds song” Will it take someone being banned from Oakwell to stop the song being sung or do we change the lyrics to something more pc?

I mentioned this to my son at the match last night. We're going to get a fine or something eventually. Why not just drop the first part of the song and just keep the bit about Leeds?

I can’t recall the Leeds song being sung last night.

The song about Liam Kitching though has a vile line in it and I think that’s what will get us in to trouble next I’m afraid.

unfortunately I think that's what will end up happening. people are just ignoring the warnings. they won't have a leg to stand on when they eventually get caught and banned.

I thought the announcement was due to me shouting 'yer Girl' (a la Peter Kay) when one of their players dived. Steward had a quiet word with me, we sorted out the 3 match ban for McGeehan and moved on.

Aww this brings back memories of 1980-81, when I first started coming to Oakwell. It was the basic open ended 'Spion kop' in those days of course, and as a kid I didn't realise it was the away fans section lol.
