Just been pondering and I'm interestd in opinion on here............. would Daniel Stendels promotion winning team have beaten MD's current team?
Probably Stendels team if I had to pick , although if it were a night match maybe not because we didn't seem to do as well then.
Stendel had marginally better players, but Duff's team is better organized. It's down to whoever scores first, if it's Duff's team they've shown that they see out the win. If Stendel's team score first, Duff's team have yet to overturn a deficit.
It'd be close. But if you had Duff managing Stendel's squad and Stendel managing this squad I think it would be a battering.
I think they easily would. Davies/Pinnock/Lindsay were almost ever present in the best defence in the division. Mowatt high class. Potts on the wing for half the season. Jacob Brown for the rest. Moore and Woodrow up front. That's taking nothing away from the current lads - but I think that side is stronger.
I think the stendal side was easier on the eye but Duff's a better coach, what a team we would have with mix of both teams with Duff in charge. What would be your 11 and where would we finish in the championship if kept them all for a season in there.
Think you're right re MDs team being better organised. Not as cavalier but more streetwise also. Defensively we're stronger now and this current midfield group is outstanding at present. So, better players? Debatable.
We had the best defense in the division under Stendel - 39 goals conceded. Weve conceded 29 already this season, so it'll be a fair effort to beat it.
