Zero benefit of either getting it signed. If we don’t go up he will rightly deserve a move to Champ.

But that would still benefit us, as we'll get more compensation. It's a crap silver lining, but still technically a silver lining. I'd move mountains to keep him here.

Sadly at some point he's going to tire of all the travelling from Barnsley to his family home in Cheltenham so I expect he'll be gone within the next 18 months or so,just enjoy the ride at the moment

I would help you move those mountains. the man is a diamond. top quality pure diamond.
all his previous knockers should sit back and think again about the stick they have given him in the past.
patience and perspective. give good people time and they'll grow.

I think everyone in the UK is likely to spend a week in the role at some point. It's like a phone system - you are currently 12,583rd in the queue.

I hope so, it’d make up for the fact that I pay bare minimum into my pension!

I think at the minute we should be thanking them for plugging the gap (money/capital) that the previous asswipe spent.

Without that input we wouldn't be having this season at all

Duff is the real deal. How he has galvanised everyone and turned us into a proper force is nothing short of a miracle.
We need to enjoy him while he’s ours cos it sure as hell won’t be for long…..sadly.

As BigLil alluded to in another post, people genuinely said they thought we'd go down this season. I'd say a big percentage of us was just hoping for a midtable finish to stabilise after the shambles of last season, personally I think I said we'd finish between 8th & 10th. People criticising certain players after last year (rightly so), and again at our transfers, ins & outs. In fact, after just 3 games, some people questioned Duff & didn't want him here (which was daft so early into his barnsley career). The Hex fiasco. The west stand debacle. The disappointment with Iseka & Oulare. Owners having to put over 4.5 million into the club to keep us running.

So much negativity and pessimism, understandably. And yet, after all that, under Duff's guidance, here we are. I never expected we'd be in such a strong position. Didn't expect us to be the highest scoring team in the top 4 leagues since mid Feb!! Especially given the concern about our strikers early on in the season. I can't thank Duff enough for how he's galvanised not only the players, but us as fans. The club I love feels like it's back, the atmosphere is back, lads working hard for one another, playing great football.

It's a joy & pleasure to be a Barnsley fan right now! Hopefully a strong finish to the season will see us in the Autos!!! :D

I think the top 2 will just be out of reach. If there were another 3 or 4 games I think we’d nick second place.
Play offs though, are nailed on.

Why do you think mate? If we win our games in hand, we'll be 2 points behind Plymouth. The form we are showing excites me no end, genuinely feel we are in with a shout!

Take a look at Plymouth’s run in. All games against bottom half sides, can’t see them dropping enough points.
Our next 3 games are incredibly tough but if we won them all I’d say we might just have a chance….

Never know mate. Look at Liverpool, thump an in-form Manchester United 7-0, only to lose their next game to Bournemouth. It's a big ask obviously, but win our games in hand, only takes a Plymouth draw & us to win and then we're equal on points! Think they have Forest Green next, so you'd imagine they're chomping at the bit to play those & get some goals. Their away form is atrocious, fingers crossed
