I know it's at a lower level right now, but in my opinion he's the best shooter of a ball from distance we've had since Redfearn. Absolutely lethal. If he even stays with us for half as long as Redfearn did, he'll be an absolute Oakwell legend.
Phillips has a lot of freedom to float between midfield and attack. Makes him very difficult to mark as his positioning can sometimes be very high. At one point today it was like he was playing on the right hand side of a front 3 and then was back into the midfield. He’s oozing with confidence too so feels like he can score from anywhere. You have to take your hat off to him, he’s been superb for the past few months. Duffers knows him well from his Burnley days so no surprises really.
