South based Tyke here. So pleased that the tickets weren’t all snapped up before they went on general sale, giving those of us without any priority the chance to see the Reds in our backyard…
I would hope the club are saving money on a temp and using it by paying Beth in full, and that her colleagues are rallying round and doing the best they can in the circumstances. Going on what is generally accepted, it would take about five temps to do what Beth does anyway. I’m really glad the world is still full of understanding and empathetic folk such as you …
What with all the Wednesday-esque "poor" comments. Absolutely brilliant considering the crisis we are in, better things to spend money on than football.
They are a senior member of the box office down atm, so I think it's fair to cut them some slack over Twitter updates. As long as those that wish to purchase tickets have been able to do so , that's the main thing.
" Empathy! Empathy! They've all got no empathy!" Sorry.. could not resist. On a serious note I think both customers and staff are far more concerned that Beth makes a full recovery rather than the extra workload it has caused and any minor inconvenience to the customers due to her absence. Like I posted before I have never met her but on a couple of occasions I have had any online contact she has been the epitome of a customer facing employee giving 100% and, obviously, from all the posts on here, a caring likeable person outside of her job. To re-iterate...get well soon Beth, hope you make a full recovery and are soon back amongst those who miss you.
Why are some people obsessed with how many tickets we have or haven’t sold.as others have said there’s not a lot spare money around just now to spend on football.
So we are not obsessed with filling Oakwell ? to create a better atmosphere and the extra man scenario. All that effort put into the last few games has been a waste of time.
We are. But this is about Wycombe and affordability in my view. If people have a choice of one or the other. Most would choose home games.
I think it's remarkable that the average attendance is over 10,000 in all honesty when you consider the state of the country at the minute. I'm quite fortunate in terms of my job and wage, but even I'm feeling the pinch, so I dread to think how people on minimum wage for example are coping.
Majority of league 1 attendances up on last year, even Derby +4853.Peterboro -788 Barnsley -2707 because of being relegated.
Nah. For me it went nuclear when Dimboy questioned the Just Giving fund for Beth, arguing that she'd be receiving sick pay....
Calm down sweetheart you're one of a number on here who get personal towards me obsessively because I say something you don't agree with.
If you didn't post utter ***** 90% of the time which at this point i'm sure is just to get a reaction out of people, you wouldn't have members on here seemingly attacking you.
True relegation has reduced our crowds but not through the home support , Barnsley fans have turned up in their numbers which considering the misery that was heaped upon us last season , the main reason the average is down is the big difference with the number of away fans , in the championship there are always good away followings which is not the case in division one , so well done to the reds fans , great support this season .
