This may sound a daft question but isn't porcelain (a) Slippery and (b) A bit brittle - to be outside?

Pretty much my thoughts when it was suggested.

However, not slippery (the snow / ice recently helped us test that) and after plenty of research, they’re durable as long as they’re laid correctly.

Fingers crossed that’s the case going forward!

Fair enough. Interesting to know, I'd have never even considered it - though I am clumsy as f**k when it comes to DIY so I'd probably drop a hammer on it on day 1!

My daughter and her partner had 'non slip' porcelain flags laid last summer in the form of a path and patio. I'll not go into too much detail but he's just had to take a couple of days off work with a twisted ankle and a bruised arse. They know best .
