Even those two should have left it well alone. I do like it though. I used to be pals with Evan. :):)

THE BEATLES - TICKET TO RIDE

One of John's best vocals imo, and a great chord change at the end of each verse. Top drumming from Ringo too. Still the best song about someone leaving you to become a prostitute.

Fantastic chorus to this song, great all round.

Depeche Mode - Enjoy the silence.

Interesting thread and its impossible to contribute in a way. However being a Beatles fan id have to pick something simply because there are so many genuinely great tracks. I agree with Fonzie about Ticket to Ride but I might just go with Drive My Car. Excellent chords, great vocals great lead and underrated drums by Ringo

The only response possible - and the greatest ever song about the worst hairstyle.

Both brilliant songs. My personal favourites are Paperback Writer and Your Mother Should Know, although this isn't set in stone.

Good choice. The title reminds me of a band that used to play at lo-fi / DIY gig nights in Sheffield in the 2000s, the Ape Drape Escape.

Just seen the pre match playlist. I'm shocked and offended that nothing from here is on it.

    NUMBER 194

THE BOO RADLEYS - FROM THE BENCH AT BELVIDERE

Shockingly omitted from their albums, and released as a stand alone single in 1996. Reminds me of getting drunk as a teenager by the green generator near Wath Woods.

    NUMBER 193

    WILL SMITH - MIAMI

Can't say enough about Big Willie. Fresh Prince, Boom Shake The Room, Enemy Of The State, Men In Black. Seems a great bloke. Good at slapping too.

Edit: Yes I've ranked this higher than a Beatles song.

I'm determined to finish this, even though it was an idea conceived after a gallon.

    NUMBER 192

BILLY OCEAN - LOVE REALLY HURTS WITHOUT YOU

Catchy as sin, great verses, magic chorus. And a key change near the end to get everyone singing their lungs out.

If it's Gabriel, you might as well throw in a Bush too for free.

Preferred their earlier heavier stuff, but any Boos is good by me.
