Certainly the best since Leeds Jan 2017, and probably better than that context wise too. Probably didn't deserve it but it makes it even better. Liam Kitching racing through middle with the gallop of summat at Cheltenham was pure f.cking poetry. Michael Duff. Best since Wilson.
Wednesday player was after Kitching then his gasket blew, lol, what a run from Kitching after all those minutes of exertion, superfit or what
Seen great times wi Reds but this is up there just because of where we were a year ago and where we are now....monumental effort from a great team and a great manager COYR
Let's face it we were under the cosh at 2-2. The manager Mr Duff makes a few changes to stabilise & then a few more to win it. That is his mentality. 4-2.
I think most ppl not biased towards us would argue Wednesday had more play, chances & ultimately pressure. We were clinical & forced them into critical mistakes which is f.cking lovely, but I'm not sure anyone can say we were the best side on balance tonight. IMHO. But I don't really give a f.ck. 6 points from not playing particularly well. What promotion teams do.
For twenty minutes you're right. I shared that view. However, Duff didn't panic. Every sub performed. Was really impressed with Benson. He's having some headlines right now. Very selfless and rides a tackle.
I think we deserved it in the end. Wednesday certainly deserved to peg us back to 2-2 and could have maybe done that sooner, but we finished by far the stronger team. They'd resorted to kicking lumps out of us by that point. Look at the fouls on Tedic and Watters in the build up to Kitching's goal. If there'd been 5 more minutes we would have scored 2 more goals. Tedic, Watters and Thomas were all fresh and were starting to destroy them.
I think the Watters goal was the first time we'd put three passes together for an hour. Was starting to open up but I still felt like they were/could've nicked one. I love Tedic. Looks like a kid who's won a raffle.
Bannon was pulling the strings, just a good job the ball always fell to the big lad with long hair ,who looks nothing like someone who might live in a caravan, and he was about as good at hitting the target as Spurs are at team bonding
I thought we let them play abit too much and tried to defend the leads we had. Can do that when batman's pinging balls around. But **** it 3 points.
Two quick goals in the first fifteen minutes, went garbage for an hour, two more quick goals in the last at minutes. 6-2 on aggregate I will take that.
TBF How many times have we completely dominated them and come away with nothing? Loads. Pretty scrappy, even game with few chances or quality play. I won't for one minute apologise for winning a 50/50 game against those tw$ts
No we wern"t garbage , we had to deal with a team at the top of the league & they are there for a reason, we had to dig in , thats not garbage thats guts, pity some of our fans don"t posses the same , fantastic performance, fantastic result , well done reds .
