Well played son, well played. You've been through tough times over the years with us, but your effort has never waned. Another game changing performance from the bench. I won't speak for every Barnsley fan, although I hope they agree, I appreciate your efforts and there's a player in there that can not only play at a higher level but can contribute greatly. You Reds.
Take the broken leg out the way, and had he been fit all season, he'd be challenging for player of season and we'd be likely in the top 2. I think he's been excellent for us this season despite missing a large portion of it
I thought he was excellent at Harrogate in pre-season and it took me a while before I realised it was him. He carried it over into the league and was probably our best player before his injury, so it was so unfortunate for him. But he’s been making a great impact on the game from the bench and surely can’t be far away from making the starting line up.
I wasn't 100% sold on him, and didn't understand what some others saw in him prior to his injury. I often thought his work rate was exceptional, but his application was often lacking. Since coming back from injury though, he's been sublime. His performance yesterday was fantastic, his best in a red shirt for me.
He may well come in for Adam Phillips soon, he’s been anonymous for a few games now and it never hurts to know your position in the team has competition
He's come back from a serious injury with no fear. Some players are affected mentally when coming back from a broken leg, but Luke has been getting stuck in from his first minute back. Good lad!
His broken leg and loss to the team is the reason we're not in automatic places but he's growing with every game and being super sub is a brilliant role to get him back to his best..lvd him last night.
That pass for the 4th was perfectly weighted into the path of Kitching, who didn't have to break his run or change direction He's having an impact already since his return.
Think Duff has yo take some credit here too - obvs some better man management at play than any of his previous managers
Phillips is an odd player as he often seems to drift out of games completely, but his finishing from outside the box is nuts. Combine him and Kane or Thomas into a single player and he'd be worth tens of millions.
There was never any end product with Thomas. Very few goals, very few assists. He could always run with the ball but if that doesn't ever result in anything... Now it does. Perfect cross for Tedic on Saturday and just rolled it into Kitching’s path last night. We can start the game with Norwood, Cole and Phillips as a front three. Our three top scorers who have all done great this season. We can replace them with Tedic, Watters and Thomas who are even better. Unstoppable.
Great ball for Kitching's goal. By the way, were either of the Wendy players that scythed down Tedic and Watters in the build up booked?
