Think he's been excellent since Christmas - can remember a run he made against Charlton or MK where he sprinted from out box into their half and I thought he looked fitter and stronger- he can shift a bit as well. We need someone of his experience and calibre - what did Aitchison call him - Master of the dark arts
I’d have him on bench as sub. On a separate but linked thing, noticed today we have been fined the most this season so far in L1 (think it was around £13k).
We do seem to have a fair few fans lacking in grey matter, though I doubt worse than many clubs. I think the chunk of the fines were due to the club’s perceived lack of prep and response rather than the actual fan behaviour though. Hence the tannoy announcements and more visibly robust stewarding.
He would still pick up a ban. Might not impact this match but would possibly cause issues at some other point
He needs a striker alongside him who can score 20+ goals a season Cole is a good L1 striker but not consistent
Yes, when belittling the signing of Norwood in comparison to Portsmouth’s signing of Dane Scarlett. Which was bound to be much more successful. (Norwood has more than double the league goals and four times the assists).
Coles had a good season our top scorer.. obviously in a ideal world I would have kept vic or morris or both.
I would have him on the bench and guarantee his availability for the remaining games. No disrespect to Exeter but it's a squad game and we should use the squad in an intelligent way. Edit; Tuesday night's booking was a stupid one, he was right, the 'keeper saved his effort and it should have been a corner, but to talk yourself into a yellow card for that? Stupid.
Yes, the only player I’ve known to get booked twice when he wasn’t even playing! I’d rest him for Exeter.
I usually tend to agree with your last point about stupidity. Himself, Watters and Kitching have all had bouts where I've been annoyed at their daftness. But on this occasion, I fully understand him. Given the circumstances, everyone of us would have ended up with a yellow after that, the work, the opponents, being 2 nil up and squandering it, the atmosphere. Im glad he reacted the way he did because it just proves his hearts in the right place and he wasnt just being petty or idiotic like on other occasions, I.e the red card he previously got
