...very reminiscent of a Nicky Eaden goal in '97. Big promotion game against a Sheffield rival, under the lights, in the rain, in front of the Sky cameras. A marauding wing back finds himself in space in the box to clinch the win in front of the Ponty end and fans invade the pitch. Liam on his left peg. Nicky on his right peg. Both goals make me feel warm and fuzzy inside!
Yes and there should have been 2 cards to Wednesday players before it got to kitching and on owlstalk they are saying we play direct and kicked them off the ball. Deluded ,i think is a name for them
Once upon a time, Allan Clarke gave Ronnie Glavin a ticking off for going past the halfway line. Now we're one goal ahead in the last minute of a crucial game and we have a defender bombing up the pitch and into the opposition box. It's a funny old game.
Kitching was about 15 yards inside his own half when he noticed something was on. Then he just started legging it. Fantastic awareness, great goal.
In my opinion it's become the goal of the season so far and I doubt it will be beaten....it had everything from passion awareness knowledge skill calmness speed and a host of other stuff and it also showed how much he wanted not only the goal but the fight to inflict more damage and it also showed why you should play for 90+ minutes to make sure of the win Well done Kitch.....
