Thought he had a decent game and generally got on top of their excessive time-wasting which they were good at particularly the one where it took an age for the keeper to place the ball down to take a goal kick, only then they decided to substitute a player. Fair play to the ref for the 8 minutes and the bit on that. Not an excuse just an observation
I think he just let a lot go - there were a few times I thought he may blow for a foul when our strikers were pushing their defenders.
Can't stand refs who can't get about the pitch like this guy. Awful, unfit, never in position to see what their defenders were up to and one of those that gives a minor push on the halfway line but ignores stronger stuff in the penalty box.
Yes we can, 2 wrongs don’t make a right, in any case my example was not just about the keeper, but making a sub, after his episode of time-wasting. They could’ve done it as soon as ball initially went out. As already been said at least the ref was on top of it in terms of adding time on and booking the keeper and another player for time wasting.
Kicking the ball away is one that needs to be picked back up on. The one where he got called offside and then took a shot well after the whistle was blown that back in the day that would have been a yellow. I think the ref did book one of their players for it following a corner when the ball bounced back onto the pitch after going out for a goal kick and then the player kicked it over the hoardings.
