You might not mean to do it, but you are. Rather than commenting on Trumps behaviour, your reaction was to point the finger elsewhere. By all means, start a thread about Blair, some will agree with you, some will disagree, it's not an area I'd generally get involved with in all honesty. It's the interjection in threads that are to do with a different subject that people are taking umbrage with in general. It's not an agenda as you've said earlier in the thread.
I can understand that mate. But by the same token, the Democrats refusing the vaccine because it was done by a Republic is just as bad, if not worse, surely? I was a big fan of Obama and when I realised it was his party refusing to take the vaccine at first, it certainly put me off. Why the hell are 80 million people voting for trump though? I've been reading up and I like a lot of his foreign policy in places like China and North Korea. But domestically I just don't get his value at all, but presumably that's probably my bias showing as I'm apparently a raving leftist looney
It's just a debate on a message board. He's said trump should be in court for Killing thousands of people I said Blair and Bush killed hundreds of thousands and haven't stood trial. It's like someone saying norwoods been a revelation and me saying yes but I wish we could of kept morris and woodrow... but if you say something that doesn't fit the agenda on here it's frowned upon or you get the but corbyn.
I don't know where to start other than tell you to research this. To be honest I'm stunned you could not know what went on. Start with Trump ignoring covid, saying it was magically going to go away and go from there.
I was extremely poorly for a long time so I took little interest in anything outside my local area, I deleted all social media aswell. Not that I should have to explain that. I'm not being nasty, not being anything. All I'm doing is asking. You google something, one site comes up this, other site comes up no it was that. That's why I'm taking an interest. I've already stated I don't know why X amount of people domestically want Trump, I just don't understand why the dems were refusing to take the same vaccine they took when Biden took over. Playing catch up isn't as easy as it used to be with the amount of misinformation out there. I used to listen to Russel Brand cos people labelled him a leftie loonie and his stance has completely changed on all this and it peaks my interest is all.
Sweden the lowest excess mortality of any country since 2020. The outlier. But yet you still wilfully ignore all the data, despite it all being available on Our World In Data, despite all the evidence in the Hancock files, and continue to peddle the ridiculous lockdown lie. Why? It's OK that you were wrong. I get that you were scared at the time, it's not surprising, SAGE had the best behavioural psychologists in the country deployed in the Government nudge unit to make you feel that way. Despite all the evidence of how bent the whole thing is you still trust the Tories on it. Its actually mental and I cannot get my head around it. If the same thing happened again I honestly think you would promote lockdown again despite all the evidence of it massively increasing all-cause mortality. I honestly think that people would rather see more people than necessary die again than be wrong. Trump was an absolute nut job, an idiot. But it's not his fault that Covid happened, it's not his fault people died of it and let's also remember that he was correct about it's origin, despite being ridiculed for it at the time
Int it weird how threads morph on this site. I was happily reading about Trump and now its all changed. Its like watching a 1950's horror film about radioactive mutations sometimes. Maybe Ill download 'The Blob'
The first signs of covid hit the USA on January 20th 2020. Trump had been in power for the previous 3+ years. He refused all the advice and guidance from the CDC because it was not politically expedient to have this happening on his watch. Instead he went on the Oxychloroquin trail and the even more dangerous "cleansing" from within. By January 2021 over a million Americans were dead. As many believe, due to the shear incompetence of Trump.
Sorry if I was a bit dismissive and I get that you're a lot younger than me. Plus I've been following US politics pretty closely since 2015. Mostly in dismay. What goes on in the US, like it or not, has a big impact on the world around us and on Britain. You can't have an understanding of how the world works without knowing what the US is doing and why. The Democrats didn't refuse en masse to take the vaccine. That was the Republicans because Trump politicised it to shore up his base and to cover for his real motives for not taking covid seriously, i.e he didn't want to tank the economy in the run up to an election. He did eventually encourage the search for a vaccine but then so did every other world leader pretty much. The US has a lot of research capacity so were always going to be among the first to develop a vaccine. Don't take my word for all this though. I despise Trump. Read back through old articles from respectable sources.
We do now. But when he originally posited the - now widely accepted - theory, he was derided: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/apr/30/donald-trump-coronavirus-chinese-lab-claim
And sunbeds. This is classic. When an actual Doctor realises the President of the USA is suggesting injecting yourself with bleach.
