Would have graced any game at any level, a beautiful goal from start to finish. Not too dissimilar to a couple I can remember from 1995, both involved dummies by Andy Payton, and scored by Andy Liddell v Derby (Jan Molby's debut) and Brendan O'Connell v Sheff United respectively.
I remember another one from our 96/97 promotion season. Maybe at home to Portsmouth, I'll have to see if I can find it.
Remember those goals well. Almost 30 years ago. Don't remember where I put my keys. Almost 30 minutes ago.
Brilliant mate, thanks for posting but how on earth have you remembered those?!!! Fantastic goal today, I have to agree.
Sure it’s been mentioned before that in the Sheff U video, the ball boy celebrating the 2nd goal is Chris Morgan
Having rewatched the entirety of 'a season to remember', I can confirm that we didn't score a dummy goal that season. Maybe I'm thinking of O'Connell's goal vs Sheff Utd.
I would go and watch training a lot back in the 90's and used to hear the strikers saying Sid a lot didn't make sense initially as nobody in squad was called Sid but then twigged it was a code they used that meant dummy / step over the ball, once I knew it was easy to see it executed in games
Why is it so unusual to remember both of those goals, from seasons '94 and '95 ?. Its also when little boy Bullock chased Jan Molby all over the pitch, trying to get his autograph lol.
