He put a tweet out t' other day: - Bloke on Wombwell High Street: you look just like that famous poet! Me: I am that famous poet! Bloke: what's your name? The most Wombwell thing ever.
Top man is Ian. I don't know him that well, but he's always been incredibly friendly whenever I've run into him. I've been to one of his poetry evenings, which was tremendously entertaining. Obviously he took an instant liking to me as I was there in my Barnsley shirt in the middle of rural Lincolnshire!
He's an absolute credit to our town. Hopefully this association between the club and Ian continues for many more years.
