Why is it that clubs/managers/scouts are always assumed to be 'sniffing'? Could they merely be watching or investigating. 'Sniffing' sounds a bit dodgy and could be picked up on by Stephen Dawson. Just saying
I saw Bruce saying that Josiah's going to find out whether we offer him a contract soon. I assume we will!
As an ex-pro himself, and one who had arguably unreasonable expectations thrust upon him at a very young age, Bruce is very well placed to advise young Josiah about which career moves to make and when. Factor in how much Bruce loves BFC and I'm pretty sure that Josiah won't be in any sort of rush to jump ship at the first opportunity he gets.
Sniffing around doesn't sound dodgy at all. It's a term used since god was a lad/lass. I wouldn't even have thought differently. Till you mentioned it. And still think it's a term that shouldn't be taken out of context. (informal) to try to find out information about someone or something, especially secret information We don't want journalists sniffing around.
Devante's dad, Andy Cole of Man.U fame, for those of you who don't know, used to go with him to every club he signed for including us first time round.
Trouble with man u and city etc is the cast the net so far with young kids then just drop them like a stone when they get abit older. Bree rejected the chance to go man u from us and it was probably a wise move.
Scored a decent amount this season. I would be amazed if we didn't offer him his first pro contract this summer.
