Yes not happening, there's also no way we will come close to beating Ipswich on how we are currently playing either.
Hope I'm wrong like I just don't see us getting owt against them. Good teams will come and beat you in you're own backyard. Might be slightly over reacting just cos of how frustrating that was.
they pretty much are. we would have to have the most horrendous drop in form for that not happen. Hope we can put it right on Monday
Agree. We were poor today but all its done for me is confirm what was the most likely scenario anyway - that autos is a stretch too far. Take a bit of pressure off now - all we need is probably 3 wins to guarantee top 4 and then the second leg is at home in the play offs.
In the last 6 weeks, we have swept away all the 'big teams' at home mate: Derby, Plymouth, Pompey and Wendy. If you discount the last 2 away games, our away form has been promotion material since the 14th Jan when we lost at Charlton. Let's not go all massive cos we've lost 2 away on the bounce. I get the frustration but we've had a fantastic season, and the top 4 have been relentlessly in form since the new year. It is what it is. I for one am proud of the lads over the course of the season.
If relegation was still a mathematical possibility, you can bet yer bottom dollar some would be pointing it out
I genuinely think we could get relegated. Maybe twice. Dog and Duck league in 3 years, playing at the Dorothy Hyman. We'll go for our pre-match pint at the pinfold. Handsworth Paramore fans will shout "football in a library" at us. No joke, for real.
We've got a brilliant manager and some great players, best just to get behind them and see how it all unfolds.
Exactly, yet sure enough some of those fans will point the finger at Wendies when they do it. Honestly, lad behind me last week.. I said to my mum after, if you isolated the crowd noise towards the end and wondered if on that basis we were 5-0 up or 5-0 down, you'd go for the latter. Constant moaning and criticism. And 'they deserve a goal these' on repeat, as if willing Morecambe to score (besides his view not being true in the slightest). I know it's always been that way, but my point is some aren't even happy when we've won by a landslide. Perspective and a bit of gratitude needed I think, as others have said we've a great manager and a team that have given their all for the last few months.
It's a very real possibility isn't it. Not sure it would be a day I'd enjoy. Not until we won. The thought of losing that doesn't bear contemplating.
