Wasn't great yesterday, but wouldn't say weeks. Id suggest phillips has been more off the boil than any other started 11. Although Isted is creeping up there these past 2, 3 games

Williams has been excellent this season, but you’re right, he hasn’t been at his usual standard the past few games

Thought he had a poor game at Exeter & average but no worse than the majority yesterday. However I can’t agree he’s been in bad form. He was outstanding against Morecambe & in the other recent home games

Makes me wonder if he’s perhaps got a move sorted for the summer so just going through the motions in the meantime.

It’s just an opinion. Could be bollacks probably is but it’s also perhaps something that could be realistic too.

I've held off commenting on Williams because I'm his biggest fan, but I've noticed a dip in his performances over the last month or so (the Wednesday game aside, where I thought he was decent). Defensively, I don't think he's particularly great anyway, but going forward he's contributed so much this season. But now he's having a bit of a lull, his defensive vulnerabilities are accentuated. A lot of the goals conceeded come from down his side, which is why I wasn't over critical of Isted in the other thread. Williams and Thomas need to be stopping crosses/shots more regularly down that flank.

I don't think he's had his head turned as mentioned above, maybe with him specifically, it's a case of tiredness. He's played a lot of games this season, probably the most of his career because of his past injury issues.

He still makes my top 3 for POTS.

a few players starting to go off the boil. tbf they're playing week in week out, and a hell of a lot being asked of them. they've been immense so far. mebbi just finally running out of a bit of steam in the last stretch. hopefully another bounce on Monday. autos have gone now for me. important thing from here is that we go into the play-offs in the best shape possible.

I'll tell you why I think Williams has looked not quite up to his usual high standards in one or two games and that's because Adam Phillips provides absolutely zero defensive help to him.

We shall analyse this closer at the next Jordan Williams Fan Club AGM, Mr Archey. But in the meantime, I think it’s best if you don’t wear your Jordan Williams onesie and matching bed socks.
In all fairness, though, when he came back from his injury, earlier in the season, it coincided with everything seemingly just clicking into place. He’s the type of player who, for me, always gives an 8/10 performance, so a 7/10 seems a poor showing.
But his standard has slipped just lately. But I hope that is just a bit of fatigue setting in as when he is on his game, he covers plenty of miles in his 90 mins. And all at speed.

Possible of course, but I doubt players would be looking for a new club while we're in the thick of a promotion battle so don't even know what league we'll be in next season. More likely he's just knackered!

I’d agree about Williams though think Phillips and Isted are bigger issues. Phillips I get that you pick him because he’s capable of scoring and creating bit in games he does neither too many of those recently) he is a complete passenger. Isted I’d probably be looking to rest. He’s done very well but has struggled in the last few games

His form has dipped in recent weeks, but he isn't alone. Even if someone had already arranged to sign him in the summer, I am certain he would keep being professional with us anyway and want a promotion on his CV. He's not the down tools type.

Think he seems reluctant at the minute to really go and take the opposition defender on and often seems caught in two minds regarding what he wants to do .
