Just seen the Spurs Brigton goal on MOTD 5 VAR reviews every single on favouring Spurs 2 very dubious handballs disallowing Brighton goals one in particular was hard to see it even touch an arm one penalty appeal for handball which looked a decent shout but we didn’t see a decent replay but then 2 fouls in the box bit clear penalties one in particular defies belief that it wasn’t given It’s hard to believe it can be so wrong
Brighton have every right to be disgusted. It's nearly every week. In my opinion, having VAR just goes to prove how poor our referees actually are. To have all that technology & cameras and still get it completely wrong is beyond a joke. Especially when they made a decision super quick - which would be fine, if the decision was a correct one.
Yep, I can't believe what I've just seen in that game. The Welbeck goal being disallowed was absurd, the trip on Mitoma blatant and the Lenglet foul pretty clear too. Then there was the penalty awarded to Brentford as well against Isak, which I thought at the time looked odd, and then the analysis agreed. How that was an obvious error by the ref I don't know. I wish sometimes they'd stick to their original decision.
Please don't pretend Spurs get more bad calls against them than anyone else! Kane is always picking up easy fouls that he 'won'... This last 3 weeks Brighton have had some proper howlers against them. Little reason why people are talking conspiracies about making sure a 'big' club finishes in top 4...
I can agree with that mate, but can you imagine the mess they'd be in without Kane though? His numbers are incredible considering how poor they've performed, so defensive/fickle at times especially under Conte earlier on
They'd be in a relegation scrap. That said, I think Richarlison is Kane's replacement. It's either, or. I wouldn't read into his goal draught because whenever he's played attacks have around getting the ball to Kane.
One thing no one has mentioned about the first goal disallowed for Brighton …. The linesman from 45 yards calls it an handball before VAR gets involved. Now here’s the real problem I have with that … when he’s demonstrating to the ref where the ball hit he’s clearly touching the top sleeve part of his arm ….. which in this seasons rules IS NOT a penalty. 1 error in a game against you is understandable, 2 unlucky. 5 and I agree, someone doesn’t want Brighton in the European contention spots!
Appalling decisions when VAR can be used. As for the referee in our game. I don't think I've ever seen one as bad over 90 minutes. (Up there with Willard.) We were playing against 12 when it should have been 10.
