A brilliant footballer, but surely there is not a more dour, boring ******* on God's green Earth.

Barry? Milner? Hargreaves? Dier? Plenty over the years in England!

Well we've had a few of those.. Clarke, Machin, Hart, Davey, Robins, and SchoppBaghi (and that's just the managers!). ;)

I more meant in terms of personality rather than playing style

    Michael Owen pretty boring.

    Good thread this.

    James Milner too.

Mind you, I'd take boring over tools like Terry.

The Paul Scholes and Andy Murray show would be addictive viewing!

Disagree about Murray. He's actually really funny when he's not talking about tennis, just in an extremely dry way. He's just got a rather unfortunate monotonous voice!

Yeah Clarke was a dour Leeds lover. Saw a YouTube interview with him. Leeds was his club. Never mentioned his two spells at Oakwell.

The bit I find odd was his second spell barely gets mentioned by fans in spite of a Play-Off near miss and two F.A Cup quarter finals?

I thought he was good for United playing alongside the best in the league. Was very limited for England IMHO, also yes very boring don't think I've ever got to the end of one of his sentences without falling asleep, he should start a sleep podcast they're very popular.

Got to admit that he was pretty interesting in the penalty box though.

The Scholes and Owen show would be better. They could call it the ‘Scowen show’, with contributions from…
