To be fair, Wednesday had such a good run that they could afford to have a run like this and still go up. None of the other teams, especially not us or Ipswich can. The only issue is negative momentum and the pressure that comes with that.
In our last 23 games we have 54 points. Wednesday's 23 match unbeaten run yielded 54 points. Just because they didn't lose a match in that time doesn't mean it's any more special than what we've achieved in our last 23.
4, teams in with a realistic chance of Automatic, with this team, we will be in the mix, to the end. C,O,Y,R,
I’m not demeaning our run. It’s been incredible and I’m delighted. My point was more that Wednesday’s form at the early part of the season compared to ours has allowed given them some breathing space. If we’re going to go up automatic we basically can’t afford to lose again this season. Wednesday could still afford to lose a few more points.
Fave quote from q quick look at their forum " Dingles winning, Ipswich winning, you just know what's going to happen" Oh yes, we do!
"We do sign ageing players without ambition....think it is done as a quick fix though to gain promotion"........ How's that working for u then?
Squeaky bum time with Wednesday . be like them to get an equaliser withy the last kick with the ref having added 9 minute on for 'Fergie time'. I think Ipswich will be to strong to a) lose at Oakwell and b) drop any significant points on their run in. 5-0 today against Charlton. I think, realistically, our chance of the automatics went with the dodgy ref decision against us last week . Even without that on current form Ipswich are pretty much nailed on for the automatic spot (IMHO) EDIT: Just seen the Wednesday result Phew. Hope I am as wrong with the Ipswich (now 6-0) form comments.
