Lincoln only lost 1 at home all season v Peterborough. Won 6 drawn 13 lost 1 Drew 1-1 against Ipswich, Plymouth & Wednesday at home. This will be our cup final
Tough game Lincoln away. We just need to keep winning one club will slip up Plymouth away at Shrewsbury won't be easy. Just win our games and it will happen
I've got this one marked down as Ipswich's banana skin. Local derby, Posh still got plenty to play for. I think if they come through it unscathed then they'll finish second, as they could then afford to lose at Oakwell.
As others have said, after Tuesday, it might be Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday that are concerned with the Peterborough Ipswich game. But it’s a game I expect Ipswich to win. Since the international break they’ve won at Derby and thrashed Wycombe and Charlton, the latter being in decent form going into the game. The draw at Cheltenham looking like an exception rather than a drop in form, with the one goal they conceded being a freak error. I’d much rather they still had to play Plymouth and not us.
At nearly 2 hours apart and 85 miles, it's stretching to call it a derby, but it is true that there is rivalry between them. Just goes to show how far out in the arse end of nowhere Ipswich is. They'll probably have their Old Farm derby again next year.
The road to East Anglia is one of the longest and dullest in the UK. Me and the missus decided to have a weekend away in Norwich last year, and even from Lincolnshire I thought we'd never get there. Roadworks around King's Lynn meant it took us four hours. Norwich is nice, but I certainly won't be repeating the trip in a hurry, even if we are playing them next season.
In laws live in Fakenham, so do the trip regularly and it's not pleasant, just glad I don't have to go anywhere near as far as Ipswich. The coast around North Norfolk is worth the trip though.
Exactly, every game matters until anything is confirmed. If we slip up at Lincoln and Ipswich slip up at Posh, then the gap remains the same and we still have to play each other.
And our game against Oxford on the same day. I know it's a massive cliche, but all we can do is look after our own results, and hopefully come the Ipswich game, we're in a position where winning that game keeps us in range. I still have us as rank outsiders for top 2 though, all things considered.
That 2 week break looks as though it didnt do them any harm, wouldnt want them in play offs but i hope they fail to go up,us fowls cos i like everything about derbys apart from losing and Plymouth.
Deffo us & Plymouth is first option for me, proving you don't need to be silly cuπts with the finances to achieve stuff.
Port Vale have had a man sent off in each of their last 3 games, 2 in yesterday's. They have 4 first teamers on bans for their match against Ipswich on Tuesday. Could be double figures.
