According to this there is a buyout clause in his new contract. (Don't know if the source is reliable) https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/the-...barnsley-future-and-settling-in-south-london/
I'd be happy with him either LWB or CM as needed, but I wouldn't put him in front of any of the current lads. Don't think he'll be here though
And if...god help us.....they go up, Styles ain't Prem League quality. Not sure I'd want him back, the way he downed tools when he decided he was leaving.
Looked fairly average for us at the start of this season. Tbh think Caddens made LWB his own position now. Styles made it clear that he didn’t want to be here at the start of the season so no qualms with him being moved on now.
Not a chance for me. Caddens attacking output is far more beneficial to us. Look how poor some of our crossing has been lately, Williams, Thomas, even Bobby Thomas on Tuesday, I think we just expect something half decent every time from Cadden now. If we utilised him as well as we should have, he should've had about 400 assists in first half of season..!
There's obviously a player in there, but it doesn't look like things have panned out for him at Millwall. He was one of the poorest players in the relegation squad, and openly said he didn't want to be here. He can't keep dining out on 1 good season under Val. I think him coming back will strengthen our squad, but I wouldn't say he's a shoo-in for the first XI. Cadden has gone from strength to strength.
I’d have Cadden at LWB over Styles every time. Can’t see Millwall stumping up a fee probably well in excess of £1m.
https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2022/september/styles-millwall/ He is under contract for two more seasons if nobody matches whatever buyout will have been agreed for him to sign the deal.
He'll end up a lifer here unless his form improves after a move to Millwall falls through due to lack of form for the past 2 years. Can see us releasing him for nothing at the end of his contract. It's a shame because there was a player there for a couple of seasons. He peaked young and wanted the world too early.
Wouldn't get in at LWB for me. Much prefer Cadden's all round game. He'd have to go in midfield but he'd be behind Kane in the pecking order.
Have you all forgotten that never to be forgotten last game of the season at Brentford? He had a brilliant game, scoring and then busting a gut in the build up to that late, late Oduor goal. Special memories of that day. Just a pity it condemned our good friends at Wigan and such a shame they lost their appeal
