they won their league - brilliant achievement - tad miserly of you to comment about their celebrations.
Nothing to do with their celebrations. Specifically said I was pleased for their fans. I'm talking more about the media response.
If Notts county had won promotion today, would they be one of the first topics on the national news,I think not.
More salt on this thread than in the North Sea! We all know who the owners are at Wrexham but they seem to have genuine passion for it and have invested in the people and the area. I wish them well. Even in the knowledge there’s a good chance they will bypass us in the coming seasons. That said I thought the same about Salford. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wrexham looking to sign one or two of the better league one players this summer and offering maybe 10k a week wages.
a generous post -- and you are spot on when you say the owners have invested in the club AND the people - the town and surrounding community absolutely buzzing. We should celebrate when a club that was on its knees being held together by supporters money has become successful. 240,000 Wrexham shirts sold to US based supporters !
Not surprised given that he's a player capable of playing at least 2 leagues higher than where he's plying his trade, god knows what atttacted him to it!
I suppose that being good at media and pr and actually putting effort in to increase revenue does help to increase the amount of money you have to spend. Perhaps other clubs should take note
