Cut the Burnley allocation. Pathetic. I hope they are £££ down just terrible way to treat football fans.
30 quid a ticket and people with 6,000 points were not guaranteed a ticket as those with that amount of points who wanted one went in a ballot. I don't blame Blackburn giving them a similar number to what they got at Turf Moor. Who wants to hear thousands of local rivals chanting about being promoted in your own ground?
There's been a history of crowd trouble at this game, and this is the first time in a long time that Lancashire police have not enforced the bubble travel, where away fans have to travel in official club coaches, with a police escort. Given this, the enforced midweek game, the allocation that Blackburn were given at Burnley, it was always going to be a reduced allocation. They probably should've given 500-1000 more, but they were never going to get the full 6000
There's always a lot of bother, I think their policing/steward costs would have to be higher if they sold all the tickets, plus Burnley did it to them, so I don't have a problem with it tbh.
It just seems unfair on the “proper” Burnley fans who couldn’t get a ticket because of limited numbers and basically it’s their own clubs initial ruling that caused it
They need to sort the Old Firm derby out. The most recent Celtic v Rangers (with no away fans) was plain weird.
True I hope they complained to the decision makers at the time about Blackburn fans being restricted.
