Who we wanting to keep? I try keep thomas regardless if we get promoted or not.

Agree. I'd like to say Thomas but he's just not done it this year. He's probably one of them like Chaplin, who'll tear it up somewhere else.

 

Norwood deserves a chance next season whatever division we’re in.

I imagine all of them barring Oduor will probably get offered a new deal/have their contract extension triggered.

 

As an aside retain Norwood and Thomas and avoid these 25k speculative punts for under 23's. I'd rather have an 18 man squad where everyone troubles the scorers.

 

If we go up I'd give him a chance in the championship. Never played above league one so would be a great opportunity for him.

 

Completely agree. He's a brilliant finisher and he's such a pain to mark that he'd be very useful, even if it's mostly off the bench. Definitely deserves his chance if we go up.

 

Keep Thomas & Marsh, sending the latter out on loan.

Would possibly give Norwood another year if not promoted.

 

Has Marsh been on loan at scunthorpe this season?

 

I'd keep most of them, but that might be too generous.

Marsh is only 19 - he has potential but needs to stay fit. I'm surprised we haven't already extended his deal - hope we don't release him.
Helliwell seems to be highly rated - he was unlucky to go off injured during his debut.
Norwood and Thomas might be league 1 level, but I think they both bring something unique to our team at the minute. If we don't go up I'd definitely keep them both.
I've only just remembered about Oduor - hasn't he been back here since January? But hasn't played at all. Odd one - I was sure he was going to be brilliant when he first burst through! He'll be going.

 

Yes …. He played 2or 3 and then got injured

Wouldn’t keep Thomas. Not done anything of note in the 2nd half of the season. One of those that I think it’s probably better to part ways for both parties.

 

To be fair to him he got a bad injury.

 

Thought so. Seems to have pace very small lad and had problems with injurys. I know he's a barnsley fan himself and his family watch us so hope he can make it with us. Will be down to the coaches I suppose.

Think some are being very harsh on Thomas here, he looked really good for us before his injury. Wasn't perfect but could see he vastly improved under Duff at the start, and we genuinely missed him for a good while after his injury until we tweaked it.

We know hes a massive confidence player, and he hasn't had a run of games since he's returned, so obviously that confidence won't just appear from nowhere.

100% id give him a new contract with Duff at the helm, a different manager perhaps my answer would be different but I think Duff is the perfect bloke to handle him in the best way possible, for both him and for the benefit of the club

 

I'm happy for Duff to pick an choose, i just hope he gets the backing, he's proved imsen this season so lets see what he can do with is own brand, yoooo Red's

 

Ah so we should just keep him in the hope he might do something next season. He’s been here a number of years and he’s never been able to command a first team place on a regular basis.
