If there's anyone who travelled expecting us to put out a full strength side and/or make more than 80% effort, I've got some magic beans I'll sell you
Stood watching this garbage. Fuming. Dog **** from the first whistle. Don't tell me this is a dead rubber you gonks. Unacceptable to come all this way and be subjected to this. Shameful.
Expected us to at least try. They are professional footballers; it’s not a friendly. It’s not fair on other bottom teams either,
The attitude and reaction from fans is offensive to the team and management who have achieved a top four finish with two games to spare and are fulfilling fixtures to complete the league before the real business starts again afterwards. Was it offensive to the fans to not pick Andersen and Phillips? Or recall Connell (assuming he’s over his illness)? Don’t be soft. I don’t know what some folk were expecting I really don’t. A team guaranteed to finish fourth unless Wednesday happened to lose both games (which was never happening), so select a weakened team to rest legs. The rest of the regulars aren’t exactly going to be motivated to bust a gut and the boys coming in aren’t likely to force themselves into a starting berth so why would they be that arsed either? And we are playing a side fighting for their lives desperate to avoid relegation. It’s human nature. When we got in the playoffs on the last day seven years ago we went away to the crowned league champions and gubbed them 4-1 after they went 1-0 up. Sound similar? Calm the fuxk down.
Disgraceful that we're losing 4-1 to a side with one of the worst home records in the division who sit just outside the relegation zone.
Dreadful result, and shows how reliant we are on two players. The team put out should have been enough to get a result
