I don't see anyone feeling sorry for them? They've seemingly become a laughing stock overnight. It's rich coming from Utd fans, but they know deep down they are the real failure of English football in recent times. Especially those from my generation, the glory-hunters who remember the good old days and have watched from afar for the last decade secretly bemoaning the fall. Their attention has turned to Spurs temporarily because once again they've failed another season. Bless em.

But they weren’t even failing. They were battling with Man Utd & Newcastle for champions league football when they sacked Conte. The fans wanted Conte gone & they’ve fell apart since.

I keep hearing Spurs fans talking like they’re long suffering & pundits saying the same. They’ve had great times over the last 15 years.

Agree about Man Utd. They’re the one side that’s financially competed with City & they’ve got nowhere near them.

I meant Utd have failed another season, apologies wasn't clear. Their fans might say they've won the league Cup and have a good manager in Ten Hag and are building. Big deal. And that is kind of my point what you said, Spurs haven't failed any more than the majority of the rest of them in recent years. But people love a scapegoat i guess.

This. Literally all over. They have such delusions of grandeur. It’s Tottenham, not Barcelona.
