Quick calculation, capacity circa 6000, give them 2000 that leaves 4000 empty for every ten pound we charge for a ticket we will loose £40,000.so even if we charge em £50 we only loose £200,000. worth every penny. we'll make some of that back with home ticket sales.
Been saying it all along, why the **** give any team that full stand in a play off game. https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/away-play-off-game.321247/
https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2023/may/play-off-home-leg-ticket-information/ 20 quid for home fans. Hopefully the same for us.
Of course you can, & no one needs to explain why they cannot attend that is their business , I just find it strange when some of our fans grumble about how much away support we allow ,when we cannot sell out our own allocation or can I not have an opinion on this.
I've no problem giving teams the full north stand in normal league games. For a play off game it's stupid. I've no doubt we'll sell out all available home areas including half the North stand if given the chance. And if Bolton, should we play them, are only going to give us half their away end, we should do the same.
Hold on, you’re moaning about a scenario that hasn’t even happened? if we come out of the away leg 3-0 up you can bet your ar5e we would sell out….
I honestly don't get this cutting our nose off, to spite our face mentality. Particularly when you consider that, as usual, it's the common football fan who's the only one being sh@t on. The noise element is a weird one. There will be more home fans regardless of what allocation we give. Questions should be asked of the 13,000 home fans if they can't make more noise than 5,000 away fans. Particularly if we're in front from the first leg. There's no guarantee we'd sell out if we were to segregate the away end, and we'd just be lumping up costs when the club is already financially on its arse. There's people talking about losing £50-£100k as though it's spare change. The board have put millions in this season, just to keep us afloat, and this is our biggest payday of the season. You can kinda see why Bolton would do it, if they expect to sell out. I can't see us selling out. And it would only make us look bad if we've segregated a half empty north stand, just to piss off a couple of thousand Bolton fans (not the club, it's fans). Only my opinion like.
If we can't find enough people to buy at £20 for a play off game taking place at our usual league kick off time, then that would be very disappointing. I doubt we'd have to sell out our half of the North stand for the club not to lose money from not selling to away fans, as surely police costs will be a lot lower filling with our own.
I'd loved to be proven wrong, but I just can't see it. And that's not a slight on our fan base, there will literally be people who can't afford it, or will be holding on in case we get to the final. Again, not a dig at anyone, but people will have to pick and choose their games due to finances. Policing costs will naturally increase if we have to segregate the away end, surely? Edit: the game is Friday night at 8pm is it not?
Doesn’t picking and choosing games apply to Bolton fans or isn’t there any financial problems in Bolton.
I think the £20 ticket is across the hoard as directed by EFL. Wednesday fans couldn’t believe it was so cheap - announced on same day as Chansiri’s season ticket prices (which were a bit steep to say the least)
Can't see the club splitting north stand but I think they will cut the allocation to away fans. Bolton 2k allocation is a joke we could have sold more than double that. I'm not a season ticket holder doubt I'll get a ticket now.
For me policing cust in this game should be irrelevant it's a extra game that wouldn't have been built into the budget at beginning of season si fir me give Bolton 2k maximum. I e also read t hst it's a efl ruling the amount of away tickets across all play offs .
