Not really a matter of opinion , they ARE very out of date but the main thrust of the anthem hasn't really changed. And it's a right effing dirge.

The whole idea of monarchies and royalty genuinely baffles me. Why do some people worship some random privileged family like they are gods and sing songs in their honour?

Genuine question, I just can't get my head around it.

    I really don't know.
Why do people worship anything they are told to. Family and friends I get+ronnie glavin but being moulded into pedestal love is something I struggle with. Why cut a soldiers head off for a sky wizard? Why vote for a political persuasion for things that happened yonks sin? Why hate your neighbour for their colour?

Once again money can be found to fund pomp and pageantry and an out dated system of elitism, whilst those that once swore their alliance to his mother sleep and beg to survive on the very streets that his so called royal carriage rolls and that's not counting the rest of the country which live in poverty and struggle to make ends meet...Not satisfied with that, we then see the church of England bestow the Crown and anoint him King and head of the church of England ...How's that possible when that very same church preach we as subjects should follow the 10 commandments ...one of those commandments being Thou shall not commit Adultery...and yet in his own admission he's guilty off...the hypocrisy of it all....speaks volumes
So excuse me for not doffing my cap and tugging my forlocke and joining you, in Swearing alliance to the King ...
And before anyone starts having a go...I respected his mother our Queen who in my opinion sacrificed her own happiness at times for the sake of the nation
Enjoy your pomp and pageantry if that's your thing not my cup of tea

So letting people do what they want doesn't extend to expressing they don't like the national anthem and what it represents?

Boo then, it doesn't matter. People like it, others don't. If it was me(and its only my personal opinion) I would let them get on with it for 90 seconds and just accept that's what people want to do.

Yes that’s definitely not a non sequitur. A friend of mine a Leeds fan was attacked after a game at Oakwell once. When will you apologise?

Not really bothered enough to boo it so I do in general agree with you. However if people want to boo then so be it.
I'd rather boo it than sing it.

Therein lies the problem, we have an outdated National Anthem that is not representative of today’s Britain, and I say again the Tune is awful
