https://londonroad.net/Forum/showthread.php?tid=21949&pid=1298310#pid1298310 Nearly 2k away fans, so should be a good atmosphere. We should be getting 14k.
Can't see 12k home fans turning up, not with it being a dead rubber for us and live on that Sky. Chuck in the upcoming potential playoff expense and there'll be more than a few stay away.
Bit surprised they are only bringing 2k which is a decent following but considering what’s at stake thought might have come out to try and will them on, but then cost of living crisis and all that and of course being on sky
There will also be a fair few ST holders who are counted but won’t be in their seats. Expect an official attendance around 12K but actual attendance 2-3K less than that. Sunday lunchtime not a great time for quite a few fans as well
Dose anyone know why league 1 is Sunday but Championship and league 2 is Monday? I can't fathom it out .
Bit like the play off weekend. Can’t understand why it goes L2, Championship and then L1. Guess must attract a bigger tv audience on the Sun than the Mon but seems a bit backwards to have it in that order.
No me neither in terms of the game but still want to show appreciation for the teams efforts and achievements regardless of the outcome tomorrow. That’s the only thing you can’t do watching on TV.
Tend to disagree. The thing you can't get watching on T.V. is the shapes of the teams and how individual players are doing, because you only see what the T.V. editors think is interesting. I'll be there tomorrow because I'm luxuriating in only having an 80 mile round trip to get to Oakwell. The closest I've been since 1970 when I left Birdwell. Not a criticism of any season ticket holder, we all have the choice, but for 12 years I had a season ticket while living in Southampton so, each Saturday home game it was a 444 mile round trip to Oakwell and back: leave home 8:30 a.m. get home 9:30 p.m. Couldn't get to mid-week games, obviously, but some away games were close . For me it's a privilege to be able to get to home games (less of "privilege" last season ) but for me, it's "in the blood" I'm doomed !
You're right. You've persuaded me to go. The effort of the team over the course of the season deserves appreciation and the only way to show that is to attend the match. Thank you
Same for me over the last 53 years. Living all over the country, and abroad, but you can't let go can you? The trips that I have made to watch matches over the years make me cringe thinking about it and I would be less inclined to do it now from way down south. 46 miles from Harrogate isn't too bad but, even then, I have to think about it sometimes.
