Cotter, Cundy, Kitching, Kane, Shaw, Russell, Searle, Jalo , Thomas, Cole, Phillips, McCarthy, Benson, Moon - another league 1 campaign would help there development to become stronger players and then they will be ready for the championship

Andersen Connell Cadden Williams Norwood Collins Styles need to play championship football soon for them to develop.

    Championship is a strong division.

I know It would be better to think about this after the playoffs but I was giving a little thought about the last couple of seasons.

I’d written Styles ever playing for us again with his bizarre loan, he was poor leading up to that too.
    You’ve omitted Oloure and Isseka

Luca Connell is only 22, another year in league 1 wouldn’t do him any harm, if the alternative is to move up a level and not be first choice, or play a different role

Is the championship a strong league? With Luton and Millwall at the top.
If we don't go up I'd expect some of, if not all of Williams Collins Caddan Kane Connell and Anderson to be picked off by bigger clubs.. I'd include Wrexham in that. They'll be paying Championship wages in L2 next season.

At the start of the season my philosophy was to rebuild this season consolidate mid table.
    Aim for promotion next season.
    Bonus play offs this season.
We have done brilliant ,whatever happens in the play offs we build next season on this fine season we have had.
    Fingers crossed under Duff

They omitted themselves from the list. Can't see Styles coming back but he is our player and certainly won't want to drop to league 1 but I'm sure Duff could improve him.

Think I saw the loan was with an option to buy, which I can see Millwall will trigger that option.
Duff may not have a say in this matter.Time will tell.

I don’t think there’ll be a mass exodus this season if we don’t go up. It’s been a team effort to get where we our. Most players have their jobs very well but haven’t really stood out. The 6 players you mentioned, I like them all so it’s not a dig at them, but I can’t see them all being picked off. We might lose 2 or 3 (and probably need to, to balance the books), but I think we’ll have a very decent starting XI next season if it is to be League 1 again.

Thinking about the money we potentially receive from Millwall ,if we don't go up we may only lose a couple hopefully.

You have to try & go up otherwise what’s the point? If we stay down we only end up losing our best players & probably our manager too.

How many championship ready players did we have in 2016 & 2019? Probably about the same or certainly not many more.

Just need a few to step up & a bit of clever recruitment.

We aren’t a million miles off staying up next season with our current lot. 86 points is a pretty good total. Not far off where we were in 2019 & that side lost 3 of its best players Moore, Pinnock & Lindsay straight after promotion & still stayed up.

Main thing is to keep the majority of the side. 2 first team strikers to replace our loanees. A good replacement or make Bobby Thomas permanent. Another centre back as well if possible & a back up for Cadden as I can’t see Larkeche staying.

I think the 6 options for the 3 midfield spots are fine. Happy with Williams & Cadden. All should be improving at their age.

I know our forms took a dip lately but that’s bound to happen once the chance of automatic promotion had gone. We’ve still had a very good season & been as good as anyone in the league since the early part of the season when the side was still gelling.

Agreed, didn't expect to be in the play offs, anything over the next week few weeks is a bonus.

I think regardless of if we are promoted, it's going to be a huge summer of upheaval. If we don't go up our better players like Mads and Luca will be picked off. Collins won't want to hang around to bench warm. If we do go up then big changes are needed. We've already got a bloated squad of players, with many getting nowhere near the starting line up as a regular even at this easier level. Very few of our current squad I can see being good enough to start week in week out at Championship level and if we are to bring in even more players then plenty will need to leave.

Doesn’t league 2 have quite a modest weekly wage FFP cap these days?
