Couple of points (excuse the pun) here. 1. If I was a semi regular attendee of away games and had, say 136 points, I’d be bloody fuming if I were to be categorised with someone like me, on 104, who whilst being a season ticket holder haven’t been to an away game for several seasons 2. How many people do you think fall into the season ticket holder AND 120 points plus category that can buy before Thursday? I’m pretty sure there’ll be some, if not many, left by Thursday. And if there aren’t, they have been bought by the more regular away attendees, which is absolutely the fairest way to do it. Yes I know they originally said 100. Since then we’ve had the confirmation of opposition and confirmation of only getting just north of 2k allocation, so have corrected the on sale dates to make it fair.
In the next breath mate. Why would you tell your grandson he'll be going. I'm guessing at 100 points you would not have been guaranteed. It's quite possible you would have had to join the queue so to speak. As said, Bolton have dropped the bombshell. After the club may have based the allocation as same as a normal league game. Or the figure Derby may have allocated in the sense wendy got 2,900 in the league so based it on that figure. Next season will be an interesting one re distribution of away tickets given the rumour, points may be abandoned. I dont know of another loyalty system that could work.
Disagree, whatever the circumstances and motivation behind any changes it doesn't take much to add a line of explanation and apology to statements. I would assert that is also pertinent to this thread.
On point 2 I've been to: weds fleetwood morecambe accrington vale cheltenham and Lincoln. I have 137. So I guess anyone who had been to 8 or more away games? Not exactly sure how it works. I reckon will sell out quite quickly Weds am at a guess.....
I've no problem joining the queue and if we missed out I would also no problem explaining to my Grandson I tryed my best but we missed out one of life's lesson but to miss out in this way just seems wronge to me, There was clearly a rumour going round re 120 points yesterday if the club would have changed it then fine confirmed its Bolton and the allocation I didn't start checking and making arrangements until this afternoon
Good luck to you all, i'll be in the Bolton end, mate of mine ex forces gerrin me two, i love away day's and this'll be my 13th away game this season.
I’ve just checked my account. I have the following points showing: +1 loyalty point awarded for Barnsley FC v Bolton Wanderers FC +2 loyalty points awarded for Burton Albion vs Barnsley FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Accrington Stanley FC v Barnsley FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Barnsley FC v Crewe Alexandra FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Peterborough United FC v Barnsley FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Barnsley FC v Portsmouth FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Morecambe FC v Barnsley FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Doncaster Rovers FC v Barnsley FC PJT +1 loyalty point awarded for Fleetwood Town FC v Barnsley FC +1 loyalty point awarded for Sheffield Wednesday FC v Barnsley FC +50 loyalty points awarded for Season 2022-2023 My account shows 64 LOYALTY POINTS. No idea if/when the points are reset to zero. Have they been counted ever since they moved to the online points? I moved seats this season and think I lost some points when they did it.
My daughter was going to have to do it at Burnley as we couldn't get hold of a Barnsley ticket for her. The bloke at the gate said are you really a Burnley fan because you can go in the away end if you want so we all ended up together anyway!
I have been going away for a long time, always enjoyed the away days, got a lot of friends up an down the country an we generally make a weekend out of it.
Is there any clarification on the points system? Do they communicate that away game X is a 3 points game and away game Y is a 2 points game? Surely it’s just x amount for an away game and extra for attending cup home games? Due to work I’ve only made MK this year away but got 127 points, not sure if the Exeter postponement game kept points on as I couldn’t make the rescheduled game. personally I can’t see many tickets making day 2 let along 3
A see y’a point, however my daughter who has 133 points and done a fair few long journeys this year should stand a better chance of a ticket that someone who’s only got 100 points……..let’s hope you can get some for you and your grandson
