Asked Kaled this morning while queuing for tickets about the away allocation,he said it was Barnsleys decision to limit away numbers after speaking with Duff. So i just hope that we can back up this decision by turning up and backing the team. Also asked Duff about Mads and he said it looks like he should be ok.
Would be a shame if home fans weren't allowed into the stand. Even a couple of thousand would be great.
Surprised Khaled gone on to share the background to the allocation size. Has to do best for the team I guess.
I think Im right in saying, according to the EFL rules, 50% of the gate goes to the EFL for the 4 semi games. The other 50% gate of all games is shared equally between the 4 teams taking place. There much less of a financial incentive to give them 5k as well. Hence the reason for Conways complaints last time. Plenty of expenditure in terms of stewarding etc but didnt see the financial benefits of the game. (Especially with capacity limitations of covid at the time)
https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/spo...s-make-changes-away-ticket-sales-next-season/ Bolton press confirming again. Shouldn't bother me as I have a ticket for both legs, but I would have preffered Bolton all the North stand and us both tiers on Saturday. The lower tier for the first leg hasn't sold many.
Maybe an attempt to win hearts and minds. What better place to start than SuperTyke, his most vociferous critic on this here BBS
Calling BS on that. And I dare say whatever we allocate to them will be a greater % of capacity than what they have given in return.
"Tickets for the play-off semi-final second leg at Barnsley will go on sale soon, and the reduced 2,000 allocation is expected to sell out in a matter of minutes. The number is already less than half of what was given to Bolton for the 3-0 win at Oakwell in January – and promoted the Whites to follow suit, offering only the top half of the South Stand for Saturday’s first leg." Someone is telling porkies
Well done BFC, that's exactly what we've given them. Personally I'd have given them 1 less, pointed out as a % of capacity they'd got more and took the moral high ground, cos I'm petty like that.
I would have said give us both tiers for the first leg and we'd give you the whole north stand for the return fixture, as when pettiness happens it's the fans that suffer.
