Last night, Mads dug out his old PlayStation 2 and played on Simpsons Hit and Run for 1 hour and 47 minutes. He's impressed with the simplicity of the controls and gameplay. He had a tuna baguette for his tea, washed down with a can of mango Rubicon. Fat free mayo. Wholemeal baguette. Rubicon in a Coca-Cola glass. This morning, he has been seen on his driveway hoovering out his car, a 1999 Honda Accord, and has affixed a little trees airfreshener to the rear view mirror. Jasmin flavour.
Barnsley will wait on the fitness of Mads Andersen, who missed the final two games of the regular campaign. The Dane still has a chance to be fit, according to boss Michael Duff. Referring to Andersen's prospects of an appearance at the University of Bolton Stadium, Duff told BBC Radio Sheffield that it will be a late decision on his fitness. "He's got a chance, he still hasn't trained with the group yet, so it'll be a late one. He's a big part of what we want to do, but if he's not fit, he's not fit," Duff said. "A 50% fit Mads Andersen is not as good as a 100% someone else."
If you were trying to sell tickets for something wouldn’t you say that the star performer was definitely going to be there?
Not really being that this an away fixture for us, we are not trying to put bums on seats , our allocation has been sold out .
True but if we lose heavily today then we won’t sell as many tickets for next week. It was a facetious comment, not meant to be taken seriously.
