https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0fn1xxb Sounds a broken man. Surprised he's not been sacked yet with that chairman. They aren't turning it around in the second leg. They have thrown away a seven point lead to get thrashed by a team 19 points behind them. Either the owner sacks him before the second leg or he's here next season and getting the summer transfer budget. It wouldn't make sense to give him the second leg then get rid.
He got them a points total that would've had them automatically promoted in, I think, every single L1 season bar this one. He did that having spent a shed load on the likes of Smith and Ihiekwe from Rotherham (bet they both feel like mugs now with Rotherham being in a higher division again next season), but losing their lead at the top and then so badly cacking the bed last night makes his position untenable in my eyes. I'm sorry to say that I reckon there's plenty of managers out there who'd have their squad on 100+ points easily
Of the teams we’ve played except Ipswich,SWFC in my opinion are bang average, take Bannan and Smith out of there team and they are a bottom half of league outfit.
Much as I like him, something has gone badly wrong since we beat them. He looks broken, can't imagine he's enthusing the players too much and 90% of the fans want him out. You can't keep clinging on to what was achieved prior to this disastrous collapse. Probably best all round if he left, which I suspect he will after the second leg. Have a few months out, wait for the sackings to start around Xmas and come back somewhere then.
I really like Darren Turning circle of a battleship but he was good for us. Hope he stays there and continues to fail.
To be fair that applies to many teams. For example if you took Mads and Connell out of our team where would we be? Replaced with Cundy and Russell
This disastrous collapse for Wednesday since we beat them. They had 10 remaining league games, winning 5, drawing 3, losing 2, collecting 18 points. We also had 10 remaining league games. We won 4, drew 2 and lost 4, collecting 14 points.
I like big Daz but have to say his position is almost untenable. Thrown away a lead at the top when they should have been top 2 with that squad. Put in an horrendous performance last night.
They.must have highest wage bill in the league, anything other than promotion is a failure regardless of if you think that’s being “massive”. Has to go and I wouldn’t want him in charge here if Duff left.
That’s a tough listen. Sorry big man, your team let you down. Quite right. As sentimental as we might be for Darren, he’s the managers. Represents & speaks for his team..
