Ditto pal, played fantastic today, predicted 1-1 correct and said 2-0 Friday. Today was all about NOT LOSING. Taking a odd goal lead into an home leg may have done more harm than good
Not sure about that. Before the game I would’ve taken 1-1, and I’m really happy we’re not chasing the tie, but having watched that, we could and should’ve come away with a lead. I agree the lads played well today.
I'm disappointed a decent performance hasn't been rewarded with a comfortable win. What's so wrong with that? I think people just like pouncing on me at times in regards to the other thread. That's how I saw today's game and couldn't really give a f cuk what people think now. Only come online now and again anyway.
True, but we could also have come away with a loss, Charles could have done better with his shot 10 minutes in, and the Andersen block second half was absolutely MINT. And so Bolton fans may be saying the same. We just have to be that tiny bit more clinical in front of goal and we'll PIZZ it. Come on you reeeds
Fair point, but he didn’t know much about the goal. Fair play though he put himself in that position to have the luck
Haven't read it all mate, but I don't think this is true. I saw one of your other comments say we don't deserve to go through because we played well & didn't win the match, I think that's a bit unfair, it's just the way football is at times, and if the lads made the right choices every time, or took their chances every time, they'd be premier league players. In my opinion we tried playing 'safe' but attacking football, try win the match but at the same time be a little reserved and make sure not to lose it. We saw the night before how capitulation looks in the Wednesday match, despite our last 2 games, we've been largely excellent at home, even if we haven't performed that well, we've got the result, and that's the main thing. If anyone is being rude/abusive to you (as I say I didn't read everything), just F it off and block 'em bud. Reeeds
Yeah, can't disagree with that mate. Such a shame. Soon as we scored we did sit back and didn't dare to put a tackle in, annoyed me no end. After they scored we pressed higher up again. Whether that's a lingering mental thing from last season/last few weeks form, I don't know - but hopefully Duff will sort it out for Friday. Most important play on Friday will be making sure our wingbacks don't get beat, that's where bolton were most dangerous, passing it around back and then lumping it down the wing and trying for a 2v1. Make sure Williams/Cadden has some help and I think we'll do it, because I'm confident we will be more clinical next week & we'll win!
Just tried buying a ticket for second leg but realised it's an 8pm kick-off. Shame. I wear my heart on my sleeve and can be very abrasive. I don't get much chance to vent at all in my life and it blurts out on here. I have to be reserved normally, well not normally just about all the time. Like a coiled spring it all comes out on here. I stand by what I said though.
Think we have gained psychological advantage CONFIDENCE TO PLAY OUR WAY TO WEMBLEY SHOULD BE SOOOO HIGH
Best 90 minute performance for a few games and although we deserved to win the game on chances created I’d have bit your hand off for a draw at 3pm .
Where do you live? I'm sure there are plenty of good folk on here who'd be happy to give you a lift home if they're going in your direction. I certainly will if it's on my way (going towards A1) but if that's not where you need I reckon someone else would be able to assist. As for the curry, we ended up having real neapolitan pizza back in Lincoln due to tiredness!
