Sometimes even I despair at some of our 'fans' on here, talking up a team that were outplayed and talking down the team that outplayed them. Duff will have us focused on Friday as today and if we as a crowd frame ourselves, it'll not only be the pressure of drawing their home leg but the weight of a whole town behind our team pushing down on Bolton. Pressure on us, my backside - we've been playing with house money since the beginning of August!
Steve have you thought about popping down to Oakwell and telling Mr Duff how to do his job ? Iam sure he'd love to 'comb through' everything that is wrong. You NEVER seem to be happy, win, lose or draw.
How in gods name is there more pressure on us? It's a one off game to get to the final. The pressure is on both teams. As for Keith Hill. There's been far worse managers than him at Oakwell. Off the top of my head Parkin, Spackman, Moraes, Schopp, Asbaghi. He didn't massage the egos of some fans at the time who hadn't got over some sort of belief that because we'd been in the Prem for one season we had a divine right to be challenging to get back there year in year out. He's equally wrong about there being more pressure on us though.
My thoughts exactly. 1-1 works best for us at home. Makes the game prep and mindset like any other game.
Agree, we should perform well at home, especially with a good crowd so don’t get the pressure is on us comment at all.
Much rather be at home in a one off cup game, than away. There’s some proper effing mentalists on here recently.
