Even game Long Throws and Set plays Most of our shots were from outside the box Hard to break us down (That’s because we were camped at the edge of their box for the majority of the game) https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/spo...oss-issues-injury-update-ahead-barnsley-trip/
Just trying to talk em up cos they didn't win their home leg.. bet your last quid that they'd sooner be coming to Oakwell with a 2-0 win than a 1-1.
To be fair most of our shots were from outside the box but that was by design and a weakness Bolton have had all season according to their own supporters. They either take an age to close the shot down or don't bother at all and i expect it'll be a feature on Friday as well.
Maybe needs to look at the stats - haven't we scored more outside than the box than any other club this season?
What a load of old waffle. I bet these players that are “out of the game” suddenly recover for Friday too.
Yes, we get a lot of goals from outside the box and actually shape up for them at set pieces. Not sure Bolton practiced the ricochet off the keeper into their striker’s testicles and into the net routine.
Nailed on that someone at Barnsley does their team talk for them by thinking it’s a good idea to play ‘que sera sera’ before the game though.
Eh, fans will sing if we’re winning, but I doubt very much it’ll be played over PA system. Not until the end at least
We all know he's talking garbage, but I see why he's saying it. It wouldn't look good to his players or fans if his pre match media talk was saying they were rubbish and lucky. He's just trying to be positive and motivational.
Nowt in this. Just the usual manager-speak and some half-arsed attempt at mind-games. They all do it. Nothing to see here.....
Does Duff do this? Trying to say the things he is saying makes the manager look like a goon these days with all the cameras etc. it’s not 1990 when hardly any coverage was available. He’s acting like a Tory. I’d much rather play for Duff’s honesty, than his BS that everyone sees through.
When I watched the highlights back I couldn't believe Caden got that shot in. His touch was a bit stronger than he wanted, but he was brave enough go for it. Might have been closed down better.
It was a disappointing mistake from Isted that led to the goal, but that's the first time I've said that about him. Did they threaten much apart from that, I think we have to be pleased with how we went at them. We certainly turned up on the day and looked like the team who finished higher. As for Evatt's nonsense, that's all it is to be honest.
That’s the worry though. We outplayed them but missed our chances and lost a goal to a keeper error combined with a big slice of luck. Our run of wins was when we were clinical in front of goal, and that seems to have gone now.
