First, thank you for your efforts this season. Many of you may not be aware but, as a Football Club, we were 'on the floor' both on and off the pitch last season. It was the most depressing in a lifetime. You have helped to change that. Some of the Football you have produced this year has been truly outstanding and you have been a pleasure to watch, both home and away. To see your individual and collective improvement as the Season wore on was absolutely brilliant. Thank you. Second, some of you haven't been here for long but in case you didn't know - as a Football Club we've often been ignored or patronised or both - by other Clubs/, other fans and in the media. It's given some of us a 'bit of a chip on our shoulder' about how we are perceived. Some of us have even suggested from time to time that we don't get a fair deal from Officials or the Football authorities!! But do you know what; we shrug our shoulders, deal with it and move on. The success we have achieved as a Club in the past has only come about through our own efforts - when our unity and togetherness is not in doubt. This is where you come in. On Friday night when you emerge from the Tunnel, you will have the whole Club behind you; the Board, the Coaching Staff (with whom you have produced such wonderful football this season), the backroom staff and most of all - us - the Fans. You don't have to concern yourselves with what's going on at other Clubs or what we might face after this game. All that matters is that you perform on the night, that you continue to play in the fantastic way in which you've played this season because, make no mistake, when Barnsley FC play their football, there isn't a team in this League who can live with us - no one. Most of you will have long and successful careers, hopefully some of that will be at Barnsley FC. Friday evening is the time that you cement your names into the long and proud history of this Football Club. If you feel nervous, look around the Dressing Room or around the pitch at the sheer quality of your Teammates and your Coaches, and relish the opportunity to play in their company. Friday is your day. Don't go onto the pitch waiting or hoping for things to happen - Make them happen - for you, for us, for this Football Club. Come on You Reds.
Football is about pressure. Look at last night. Do the players and the Coaching staff have the ability and confidence to deal with it? You bet they do. Tonight is OUR night.
I echo the sentiments. Whatever the outcome tonight, I think we are all in a better place than the last day of last season. There simply is no comparison. I'd like to thank everyone at the club. Top, bottom ....... Duff & players. Thanks for Bringing on back the good times. @YTBFC if we DO do it tonight - no shame if we don't - please can I ask you get this classic banging round the stadium after the whistle. Words mean a lot. My words to the players is don't read the BBS today. All the moaning about the play off final you'd think we had already won.
Not really considered this but ironically we're now coming across a bit Wednesday pre- their first leg with Posh. Has anyone mocked up a poster for coach travel to Wembley yet?
It matters Sammy, and as Kick off approaches it matters even more. We have to be right behind these lads for 90 mins plus. All the other stuff around tickets/other teams/Wembley is just 'fluff' from the time the Ref blows his whistle to start the game to the time he finishes it. These players have grown fantastically as the season has progressed. They are here tonight because they deserve it. And they deserve their day in the Sun at Wembley - so do we! We can help push them over the line. Let's stop ******* about with the fluff for a few hours and push them over that line.

Yea think its important we concentrate on ourselves and what we do. Lots of crap noise coming their coach about us ...tbf that would inspire me to beat them even more but let's just get out there and take care of business.
And...........Thank you Lads. Did everything that was hoped for and expected. Enjoy it, then move on to the next challenge. We don't stop.
