Because as he came out perhaps he didn't expect the back pass but rather Anderson to shield the ball back. As I said obviously a miss judgement or miss communication between the 2 of them. By the time Anderson played it back he was committed he couldn't just suddenly change his body position and kick it clear.

Bolton had 67% possesion... so what? A significant amount of that possession was when they were passing it around at the back when face by our press.

Lee Hendrie and the sky commentator made Bolton out as Man City.

It's not how much of the ball you have it's what you do with it when you have it

We've had quite a few teams over the years who had a lot more talent than this team. Many of which achieved nothing. Anything can happen at Wembley, we might win, we might lose, whatever, this is the most professional team I've ever seen represent Barnsley. I don't mean professional in how that word is often used, which isn't professional at all. Cheating isn't professional, we are professional, we barely gave a foul away in 180 minutes of football. I mean properly professional: hard working, dedicated, doing as your manager asks, giving everything you've got. We have a professional football team. And we have a manager worthy of that title.

Doesn't matter bud, if its a back pass just treat him basically as an outfield player. Cant use hands/arms etc. Had flash backs of Jason Scotland scoring for us from an indirect free kick in box years ago!

I was worried that they’d score in the 8th minute of the 6 added on.

That is exactly how I described it. The most comfortable 1-0 that’s ever caused me palpitations.
