Brilliant post. One to add, which you'd obviously never have done yourself. Thanks to Whitey, who lives and breathes this club, and has better insight into it than pretty much anyone. He shares what he can with us, balancing his job and his fandom with care and extreme professionalism. He did so during the extreme lows of last season, and continues to do so when the club is progressing in the right direction, despite all the challenges such as the one he so poignantly referenced regarding Beth. You're a credit to the club.
Great read that mate, atmosphere was electric last night. Great build up outside the ground too. Just want to say thanks to yourself and Andy Clark also for sorting out having our band Civic Green on before the Pompey game. We were looked after really well by all staff and Andy was a top bloke. This club has some great people working for it and you should all be proud of the job you all do. Regardless of the result of the final, the fans have got their club back and everything looks onwards and upwards from here You reds
Great Post Andy. It's having people like you a real supporter on the inside which will always bring us back to what we are and why we love and stick with our club, knowing in the end we will come through
Leave me your number on a private message and if I'm here next year we'll definitely have you guys back for some games!
Thanks to you YTBFC and everyone that worked so hard towards last night (and turning things around as the season went on). Last night was absolutely mint!
I echo all above replies. I am even more impressed with the fact that it's the only post I've read on here that is longer than tekkytykes. And doesn't ramble half as much
ps where has Andy gone and why do you refer to not knowing where you will be? No reply needed to Q2 if its personal.
Great post and a pleasure to meet you last saturday evening. Have you ever been drunk in Crawley I'm sure it would push Stevenage close.
I’m worried that staff salaries are dependent on promotion. That’s the sad reality for honest little football clubs. Sadly.
Excellent post and very rousing. Thank you for all you do and continue to do. The tireless work you all put in that often goes unnoticed, or not appreciated makes OUR club what it is today. Keep up the good work and let’s smash those piggies at Wem-ber-leeee. You Reedddzzzzz
Good post is that. So many good people work behind the scenes that we never see, but you have shed some light on. Thank you also to whoever the bearded guy was who was angry with his stewards not having a clue what they were doing.
Clarky is a Tiger. I can't picture him doing that maul thing. The big stiff idiot. As for me, it's about reflection. As the first post stated, I've lost some good people. And I know my own value. We'll see. For now, I'll look forward to Wembley and whatever that brings.
Fair enough. Sometimes reflection is needed. Just be mindful that sometimes the grass isn’t always greener - although granted, it may bear more fruit……
That's a really good post Andy. It does you credit that you sat down, thought about it and still managed to produce something so heartfelt. Spot on about the amount of away fans by the way: it's about winning the game and finding the advantages to do so. Thank you.
