With the amount of traffic from South Yorkshire via the M1, to avoid congestion and fan confrontation will the police advise/make our coaches go via the A1 from Marr.
Yep, could be an alternative route, would be funny if we went that way for some of our party. Wife's nephew (Barnsley born and bred ) live in Banbury and he and his son and daughter come up for as many games as possible. The son loves going out in town after a match and has decided that they are coming up Sunday night and going down with us just for the pre match vibes and looking foreward to going for a jar or two when we get back. If we go via M40 we will pass within 10 mins of their house. Madness.
My lad lives in that neck of the woods and I'm heading down there this weekend. We'll head down on the train (change Oxford) and it stops at Wembley.
There's a train from Banbury, probably same train, that takes 30 mins and stops at Wembley. Take mi hat to em.
Keep off the A1, i want it all to myself. Just like the 2016 finals I saw no other reds fans on the A1. A breeze of a journey.
If I was travelling from Barnsley I'd be considering getting the train to Nottingham then to London from there. All of the Sheff trains go via Derby rather than Notts, would take 30-45 mins longer each way but would almost certainly be much quieter
Anyone driving and wanting to park close to Wembley please give this lady a call: Bubbly 0208 9027554 Bubbly rents out driveways on Vivian Avenue 5 minutes walk from the stadium and 10 -15 mins back to the M1, the Arch pub is a 2 minute walk. She donates the money she makes to their local hospital and raises thousands every year. We use her for England home games, she’s a lovely lady. You make a donation usually £10 or £20 and can park all day
No difference for me coming from Lincoln whether I join the M1 at Leicester or take the A1 all the way. I'm definitely leaning towards the A1, even though it's an awful road as I reckon it'll be much clearer until I get close to the M25. Fingers crossed.
Was once on a coach to Watford that went via A1 to miss imaginary traffic. I’d booked food at a pub too. That was well annoying and felt so bad to pub to cancel when it was already made.
