    Its business as usual for us. Not so much for them, they've been the circus act this year. If they get promoted, it'll hopefully teach them that League One doesn't cater for delusions of grandeur. You're there on merit and it's hard. If they lose, it'll be the ultimate punchline to a tragicomedy of a tinpot club with ideas lightyears above their station

    It's down to a really weird phenomenon called 'they've got more supporters than us'. How this manifests itself in more ticket sales, I'm not exactly sure.

    Attendances mean little I remember leeds playing donny in the league one final leeds obviously sold out I know leeds fans who went down to London ticketless and watched it in the boozers down there. Donny won 1 nil.

    TBF it’s not 740,000. The population is 556,500 according to the 2021 Census. Any quoted figures higher than that usually include Rotherham as they often report the ‘Sheffield Urban Area’.

    It’s still a massive city compared, and they obviously attract fans from lots of surrounding areas too.

    That 240,000 is the metropolitan Borough which includes towns like Penistone and Hoyland which are catchment areas for Wednesday supporters as well as Barnsley. The actual town of Barnsley has a population of about 78,000.
