This is the team: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lierse_Kempenzonen Belgium 2nd tier by the looks Can’t find an official website for them or any news regarding recent transfers, hopefully it’s permanent
There is a God! Good luck Lierse fans - enjoy the 24 minutes you get out of him! Domestic transfers: Lierse K. counts on Obbi Oulare | Jupiler Pro League | Sporza Oulare continues his career at Lierse K. Obbi Oulare was promoted to the first division with RWDM, but did not rise. The 27-year-old striker, who was on loan from English club Barnsley for 1.5 years, missed almost the entire season due to a torn cruciate ligament. He only played 12 minutes. The next 2 seasons the ex-striker of Club Brugge, Antwerp and Standard will try his luck in Lier. Lierse K. took him over from Barnsley and signed him for 2 seasons.
First bit of good business of the summer window. I guess we’ve had to pay him off but only had 1 year left so will benefit. Any takers for Iseka?
@Gally can you give me a nod when you're online? I want to post a new "Comings & Goings" email for the Summer, which I need to be made Sticky, and the current one Un-Stickied. Thanks. EDIT: As it's slipping down the page, here's the new link: https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/comings-goings-summer-2023-2024.322175/
Official site, facebook and twitter just to be sure! Welcome, Obbi Oulare! | Lierse https://fb.watch/kLh5LdG0lA/
Quite possibly the worst signing in history and we've signed, Richard Kell, Mido, Phil Gridelet, Dave Regis and Willy Ferry.
Him and Iseka the two worst signings in our history I reckon, in terms of money spent vs value to the Club. Tantamount to corporate negligence from Conway. I imagine we’ve had to pay a decent chunk to get him off the books. Just got Iseka to shift on now.
I wonder if the club could sue Paul Conway and his cohorts for corporate negligence? If we have had to PAY to get rid of the dead wood that he sanctioned then we should be able to get that money back, plus everything else that Oulare, and Iseka, have cost us. I know it will never happen but it would be nice if these non-football people could be held to account for their actions.
I think even the threat of sueing him would be worth it, if only to make sure he gets nowhere near any European club again in his life. Good shout.
Maybe the club have already tried it, or decided not to because of eye-watering legal costs should they fail in the action.
